Menorah Lighting
Join the Chabad of Central Oregon for its annual Menorah Lighting in the Old Mill District on Wednesday, Dec. 25. Festivities to celebrate the first night of Chanukah start at 4 p.m. and include music, hot drinks, food, and friendship.
All faiths and denomination are encouraged to attend the menorah lighting in the Old Mill District!

Christmas Eve Open House
An old fashioned Christmas Tradition at our Central Oregon Winery. The cozy and festive surroundings of our winery, paired with a cup of mulled wine, spiced Popcorn, and of course, live Christmas Carols sung by Samantha Maragas. It’s all complimentary from our winery, all that we ask is that you contribute with a minimum $10 donation we’ll be collecting for the NeighborImpact food bank.

Update to PPB Fatal Crash Numbers (Photo)
The Portland Police Bureau is updating its current count of traffic related fatalities for 2023 and 2024 year-to-date (YTD).
A PPB internal analysis of the database used to count the traffic deaths revealed that a small number were unintentionally double-counted for last year and this year. PPB regrets our errors in reporting. The corrected counts of traffic related deaths in the City of Portland are listed below:
2024: 65 (YTD)
2023: 75

PF&R Responds to a Warehouse Fire (6100 Block of NE Lombard) (Photo)
This morning just after 9:00 AM Portland Firefighters were called to a warehouse fire on the 6100 block of NE Lombard St. Arriving crews found heavy smoke billowing from a warehouse. Firefighters moved into the structure to locate the fire and to search for any trapped occupants. After talking to employees crews were able to determine that everyone was accounted for and that no one was injured. Locating the fire however, proved more difficult. This fire was burning in the center of the ware
