Publisher Tutorial - Code Generation

After you are done setting up your zones and pricing schemes you should use the Code Generation pages to setup the zones on your existing website. Simply go to Code Generation->Generate Zone Code, select a zone, copy the generated code and paste this code into any webpage on your website. The target webpage does NOT have to be written in PHP or even reside on the same server as that of your AdMan installation.
AdMan has built in page tracking, which allows you to view exactly what pages a user visits. This is incredibly useful for improving conversion ratios or just the general structure of your website. To setup page tracking, go to Code Generation->Generate Tracking Code, copy the generated code and paste this code once on every page that you would like tracked. These pages do NOT have to be written in PHP or even reside on the same server as that of your AdMan installation.

Advanced: AdMan will automatically update links in rich ads that consist of JavaScript or HTML, however if your rich ads use Flash, ActiveX or a similar technology, you'll have to use the Generate Ad Link tool. Here's an example: One of your clients has a rich ad that uses Macromedia Flash. You manually create a rich ad for this customer and then go to Zone Mgmt->View Ad Spaces to look up the space ID of this rich ad. You then go to Code Generation->Generate Ad Link and enter the URL where this ad should send its viewers and this adís space ID. Next, you copy the link and request that your customer update their flash file so that it points to this copied URL. Without this URL, AdMan will be unable to track requests and clicks on this ad.
