While I was at work the other day I caught a snippet of a story on the radio. I think they said something about Bend residents whose property is bordering the canals who are in danger of having their property devalued drastically because they (the city? county? I didn't catch it) were planning to redirect the open water through culverts.
Did I hear this right? Is this true? If so, who (what agency or entity) is planning this? I'd like to find out more. If its true, what the heck are they thinking? And if I were one of those property owners, I'd be mad as hell.
