I started to... I picked up the Spanish version from a used bookstore some time ago, figuring it would be good practice, but I trailed off somewhere in the middle.
So I should give it another go, do you think? It's all that and a bag of Cheetos? _________________ Niki

(i just discovered that smileys were kind of fun so take that "shock" smiley lightly, not meaning to offend or condescend)
HOWEVER... yes yes yes, you must try to read the Alchemist again. It is such a great book and message, guideline for life and being a mentally healthy individual. You kind of have to go into the book though with the idea that it really isn't going to be entertaining, funny, exciting, etc etc, and the climaxes are sort of more like wavelengths than the traditional novels' huge plot twist defining turning point. It is more one of those books that exist to remind you of truths and lessons that are common sense and you probably already know them, but reading them again makes you remember to use the tools you know to assist you in living a better life. I myself found that this book was presented to me at the perfect moment in life, when I was going through great struggle, and if you believe in that sort of spiritual synchonicity type thing, I'd hold off on reading it again until something just compells you to pick it up one day once more.
But yeah, it's fabulous. Does anyone know of any other books by the guy, I haven't really researched it so much. _________________ LOVESONG

Roger on that recommendation--and since I'm pretty dead-set on reading it in Spanish, I'm going to really have to wait until I have a block of time set aside for me and my Huge Honkin' Dictionary to go at it.
I don't know much about the rest of his bibliography, but here's Paulo Coelho's official website. Seems to be a new book by him, Zahir, and lots of neat meditative things. _________________ Niki
