And more foreclosures. As people find the variable rate mortgages adjusting up to levels they can't pay, they bail on the house they bought last year. This causes far more properties to go on the market at once, driving down prices... Simple supply-and-demand. If you are looking to buy property, wait till next year, or longer.... Just some advice.
