I'm not sure on how many people are familiar with the ogg vorbis codec. Just to quickly go over the surface with this codec. Lets just say, ogg vorbis codec blows the mp3 codec out of the water with its better quality and better compression. The only reason why businesses don't want to use this codec is because of the big word: Money! The ogg codec is a free project, but is overlooked by the average consumers. Check it out at www.vorbis.com
