| I'm curious on why is the oh so cool iPod so popular? Overlooking the commercials and the mass advertisements apple have set aside and invested, there are many other mp3 players available that are equal to better in quality compared to the iPod! What are your opinions? |

They have advertised it a lot and in an effective way. Looks like their marketing people have best business communication skills. Probably people prefer iPods because they have more storage capacity? Or may be they prefer a product from a well known company...

| It's interesting on how most consumers whom shop today say they do their "homework" when it comes to purchasing a high priced item such as an mp3 player. Wouldn't you think twice when purchasing something just because its advertised madly and consider the fact why they are advertising? |

| Have to disagree here. Where are these others that are equal or better? The iPod interface is light years ahead of the others, I've bought other junk and still keep going back to my iPod. My wife hated the Rio that I bought her but was able to use (and keeps borrowing) my iPod Video. It comes to a matter or being a better, more mature and feature-rich product with much better user interface and usability than the others. People just want to save a buck and/or jump on the "iPod is bad" bandwagon. |
