Why do people get so worked up over their team and a game's outcome? I get that way when I lose a competition I'm actually participating in. I'm sure it has something to do with the w-i-d-e-n-i-n-g of America and the innability of most sports spectators to actually be active themselves? If that's not it, then someone post the reason please.
I enjoy watching a game - for it's entertainment value and not it's impact on my personal life. I would have to argue that if people were as passionate about national issues as they are about their team losing, we would solve most of our problems. Problems like ignorance and predjudice don't ever go away, but more positive thinkers could help.
