Today's Oregonian story of Mr. Ramsey's life and death is at: http://www.oregonlive.com/news/

There are only 6 WW I veterans living in USA (38 in the world in 8 countries) now.
Some of his WW I memorabilia is displayed at the Oregon Military Museum at Camp Withycombe, Clackamas.
Mr. Ramsey and WW II Medal of Honor recipient Robert D. "Bob" Maxwell helped dedicate a new headstone for Jacob Volz at the Lincoln Cemetery on November 10, 2006. Volz received the Medal of Honor for valor during the Philippine Outlaws War in 1911. I understand Mr. Ramsey will also be buried at Lincoln.
Anyone wishing to support my earlier proposal to Portland Mayor Tom Potter to name the Mt. Tabor Reservoir to honor Mr. Ramsey and Portland's WW I veterans should do so.
