What do all of you think are the best type of tomatoes to grow and make sauce from?
My personal choice are Roma tomatoes. There are no others that come close, in my opinion. Not seedy and seeds are easy to get out without ruining the meatiness and flavor of the rest of the flesh and the overall flavor is awesome for sauce. Heck, grown well they can be eaten right off the vine and be considered delicious! |

| ripe cherry tomatos or any tomato is good. the flavor is a good thing however if you get a seed you know its fresh and organic rather than store-bought |

| I like romas too, and even though fresh like to keep the seeds out when possible. Cherry tomatoes seem to be too small but decent flavor and I found that beefsteak are pretty much terrible for sauce! |
