I'm not sure what to make of the current hysteria on Iran - it'll take them a year to get enough nuclear material for a bomb, according to the experts, so it's not like they're going to be lobbying anything around in a week or two.

so what's the rush to either invade/pressure/get sanctions on/whatever?

thoughts?

you never know what to believe now days. I mean did we ever find those "weapons of mass destruction". I hope and pray that our government does the right things in the future.

I rememeber reading somewhere about this issue. It basically said that currently Iran has uranium. They have had this for awhile. The type of uranium they have will work perfectly for a nuclear power plant. But they looking for more enriched uranium. They claim to say they only want nuclear power plants, but it doesnt look good on their half if they want a more enriched uranium. The unranium they are trying to obtain would be usable in a bomb.

Well it could be media hype except thats a little bit blunt to say "Yes we're going to invade Iran for Uranium to produce bombs to try and take over the world like what Adolf Hitler tried to do which resulted in WWII" Oh yea thats going to fly *rolls eyes* It would be interesting to actually see what the US is actually wanting to pursue and gather in the middle east country Iran.

whatever happens, it would be nice if the UN actually got off their butts and took some action into their own hands.

I think there is the potential for a real threat, but no evidence has been shown just yet. A careful eye should be kept on the situation but I don't think that there should be any action at the moment. Or for a while.
