Thrilla Cyclocross Series p/b High Desert Sports and Spine and the Horner Cycling Foundation
The Horner Cycling Foundation is excited to announce that they will run the Thrilla Cyclocross Series at the Athletic Club of Bend on Thursdays in September. The series will begin September 12th and end on October 3rd. Register at www.obra.org.
Cyclocross is the sport of racing bicycles over rough terrain that usually requires carrying the bicycle over obstacles. Cyclocross bikes are not required but encouraged.

Redmond, OR – On Tuesday, October 15, Redmond Street Crimes detectives arrested Redmond resident Christopher Lee Hughes (39-years old) on charges of Unlawful Delivery and possession of both Methamphetamine and Cocaine. Redmond Street Crimes, working in conjunction with Central Oregon Drug Enforcement (CODE) and Redmond Patrol Officers contacted Mr. Hughes on 100 block of W. Antler Avenue. On Saturday, October 12, 2024, members of the Portland Police Bureau, Gresham Police Department, Port of Portland Police, Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office, Parole and Probation, and the Multnomah County District Attorney's Office partnered on a stolen vehicle mission. The mission started in northeast Portland, then moved to the south near Clackamas County.

Portland Man Sentenced to Federal Prison for Stealing Pandemic Unemployment Benefits
PORTLAND, Ore.—A Portland man was sentenced to federal prison Wednesday for stealing more than $147,000 in pandemic unemployment benefits from the Oregon Employment Department (OED).Matthew Kemp, 41, was sentenced to six months in federal prison and three years’ supervised release.
