The Marine Board, Sheriff’s Offices across the state and the Oregon State Police will be participating in Operation Dry Water, July 4-6, as part of a nationally coordinated effort to reduce the number of accidents and fatalities related to boating under the influence of intoxicants (BUII). Boating under the influence of intoxicants means prescription drugs, alcohol, inhalants, marijuana, or any other substance that impairs a person’s ability to make sound judgments and safely operate a boat. One person is deceased following a shooting in the Arbor Lodge Neighborhood.
On Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at 5:27 a.m., officers assigned to the Portland Police Bureau’s North Precinct responded to reports of a shooting in the area of North Atlantic Avenue and North Buffalo Street. When they arrived, officers found one adult male deceased. The suspect(s) had fled the area. No arrests have been made.

On Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at 12:14 a.m., officers from the Gresham Police Department attempted to stop a vehicle in the area of Southeast 159th Avenue and Southeast Division Street. The vehicle did not stop for police and eluded them. Minutes later, Gresham Police found the car crashed near the intersection of Southeast 139th Avenue and Southeast Division Street. Officers from the East Precinct responded to assist.
Officers arrived to find the vehicle crashed into another vehicle and a utilit
